Here’s today’s selection: Christopher Hitchens mainly focused his fireballs on pusillanimous politicians and idiotic ideologies, but there was one institution he attacked on a regular schedule: Christmas. By his own admission, he was determined to make an annual assault on the “moral and aesthetic nightmare” that is the Yuletide season. His 2008 sortie was particularly memorable.—June Thomas
