A Russian national who worked at the American embassy in Moscow for more than a decade is believed by American counter-intelligence officials to be a Russian spy, the Guardian reported Thursday. The woman was hired by the U.S. Secret Service and spent years working in the embassy’s inner sanctum until she aroused suspicion in 2016 during a routine security sweep that uncovered she had regular, unauthorized meetings with members of the Russian security agency, the FSB.
